2020年より「ano」名義での音楽活動を開始し、2022年TOY’S FACTORYよりメジャーデビュー。アーティスト活動に留まらず、俳優、声優、タレント、モデルと活動は多岐にわたり、若い世代の女性を中心に人気を誇る。
2022年10月TVアニメ『チェンソーマン』エンディング・テーマに「ちゅ、多様性。」が抜擢され、翌年末にはNHK紅白歌合戦に出場。2025年9月には自身初の日本武道館公演をソールドアウトさせ、2026年、全国10都市を回るホールツアーを開催。
俳優として、2024年映画「【推しの子】」、ドラマ「民王R」などに出演し、2026年4月期ドラマ「惡の華」では地上波初主演を務める。声優として、 2024年に映画『デッドデッドデーモンズデデデデデストラクション』 主演を務め、2026年公開の映画『しらぬひ』では主人公の少年役を演じ大きな反響を集める。
2025年、自身初の著書「哲学なんていらない哲学」をKADOKAWAより刊行。

ano started her music career under the name "ano" in 2020 and made her major-label debut in 2022 from TOY’S FACTORY. Her activities extend beyond music including acting, voice acting, television appearances, and modeling, garnering immense popularity, particularly among young women.
In October 2022, her song “Chu,Tayousei” was selected as the ending theme for the TV anime “Chainsaw Man”. At the end of 2023, she appeared on “The 74th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen”.
She sold out her first-ever concert at the Nippon Budokan in September 2025 and held a nationwide hall tour across ten cities in 2026.
As an actress, she appeared in the 2024 film “【Oshi no Ko】 -The Final Act-” and in the drama “Tamiou R”. She landed her first lead role in the drama “Aku no Hana” (The Flowers of Evil), airing in April 2026. As a voice actress, she was starred in the 2024 film “Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction” and gained significant attention for playing the main boy character in the 2026 film “SHIRANUI”.
In 2025, she published her first book, “Philosophy That Doesn't Need Philosophy” (Tetsugaku Nante Iranai Tetsugaku), from KADOKAWA.
